Job Title: Commis Chef (Aviation Catering – Compliance-Focused)

Role Overview

Par-Avion Exclusive Catering is seeking a disciplined and experienced Commis Chef to support our professional kitchen operations within a strictly regulated aviation catering environment.

It is intended for a competent chef who already understands professional kitchen structure, food safety accountability, and documentation-driven operations, and who can perform reliably under time and compliance pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior chefs with food preparation, assembly, and plating in line with approved specifications
  • Handling food in strict accordance with FSMP / HACCP requirements, including:
  • Hygiene controls
  • Allergen awareness
  • Temperature control
  • Cross-contamination prevention
  • Assisting with packing and final checks of aviation catering orders
  • Accurately completing and complying with:
  • Hygiene and cleaning schedules
  • Temperature monitoring requirements
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and audit-ready workstation at all times
  • Identifying and reporting food safety or hygiene deviations to senior staff immediately
  • Supporting high-volume production during peak operational periods without compromising standards

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Culinary qualification or completed in-service training
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of HACCP / FSMP principles
  • Experience working with structured kitchen procedures, checklists, and hygiene standards
  • Strong attention to detail and personal accountability
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced operational environment
