Description
Starke Ayres is the foremost African specialist and global supplier of premium vegetable, flower and lawn seed varieties – both for commercial and home garden planting.
The following position has become available for a Picker Packer, based in Kempton Park.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Picks products and makes up orders as per customer order and transfers them to the holding area for checking.
- Ensures that correct seed reference numbers are picked and report all incorrect reference numbers to the Stock Controller.
- Advises Stock Controller if certain items are out of stock and awaits further instructions.
- Ensures that all items picked are in a clean and saleable condition and meet laid down quality standards with regard to packaging, labelling, outer appearance and neatness.
- Assists fellow workers with execution of tasks whenever own responsibilities have been executed and completed.
- Ensures that work area/s are neat, tidy, organised and clean at all times.
- Assists with and adheres to security measures to ensure the safety of products, assets and facility.
- Assist with the Invoicing of Customer Orders
- Assist walk in Customers with Product Information
- Assists with the bi-annual as well as ad hoc stock counts/checks as per Stock Controller instruction.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 (essential)
- Â Warehousing Diploma / Certificate (ideal)
- 2 Years General Worker (essential)
