Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Millwright reporting to the RMI Maintenance Superintendent. The positions will be based in our operation in Delmas-Mpumalanga.
Main Purpose Of The Job
To maintain, modify and install all machinery and related equipment
To ensure peak performance of equipment in order to deliver good quality product at low cost.
Summary Of Responsibilities
- Deliver quality products
Number of final products is blocked /restricted due to number of defects out of specification
- Equipment availability
Ensure availability of sorting equipment to produce good products.
- Cost Management
Ensure cost effective maintenance of equipment through continuous improvement and maximised localisation of spares.
Assist stores Supervisor with ensuring availability of correct spares
- Safe execution of Maintenance work. Safe operation of equipment
Do regular safety audits
Immediately fix safety deviations
Participate in all safety related activities
Practice LOTO at all times
Comply with all safety requirements
- Equipment Reliability improvement
Execute route inspections and report deviations
Implement Prometheus
- Good housekeeping at all times
Ensure all relevant work areas and storage areas are always clean (5-Why)
Requirements
Matric (Grade 12)
N3
Millwright with Trade Certificate
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a food processing plant
Good working relationship (maintenance and operation) of sorting equipment
Ability to give technical support ( soft and hardware ) to other employees
Ability to assess and analyse technical programs used in operating equipment
