Introduction
VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd is one of four subsidiaries of VKB Agri Processors (Pty) Ltd, the agri-processing division of the VKB Group. The VKB Group is a significant role player in the agricultural industry in South Africa and strives, through best practices, continuous improvement and world-class operations, to add meaningful value to the industry.
VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd operates white maize mills in Mokopane and Louis Trichardt in Limpopo, and Mashishing in Mpumalanga, a wheat mill in Frankfort in the Free State as well as a maize mill in Christiana and a Wheat Mill in Modderrivier in the Northern Cape.
Job Description
Performs general tasks, requiring the briefest induction
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- 1-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of health and safety principles
- Stores or inventory management experience (advantage)
- Basic computer literacy and a valid driver’s license
- Continuous availability of required PPE
- Accuracy and completeness of PPE records
- Reliable, team worker and honest
- Willing to work shifts
- Willing to work Monday to Saturday (6-day work week)
- Reduction in PPE-related incidents and non-conformances
- Audit compliance results
Duties And Responsibilities
- Issue Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to employees and contractors in accordance with job requirements, risk assessments, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of PPE issuing, returns, replacements, and expiry dates.
- Monitor the condition, suitability, and replacement cycles of PPE to ensure continued compliance.
